DIY Ticket Keepsake

Step into nostalgia and creativity with our DIY ticket keepsake project. This project is a fun way to commemorate your favorite memories in a tangible, personalized form.

We live in a world where digital reigns supreme. Gone are the days where event attendees receive physical tickets as mementos of a memorable event. Whether it’s a concert, movie premiere, or a local fair – it is rare to receive a physical ticket to an event. As a sentimental person, I love keeping my ticket stubs to remember an event I attended with friends or family. I keep my tickets in a decorative bowl to look through these keepsakes and remember the fun times I’ve had with friends and family.

Thankfully, my creative juices came up with a solution – a fun DIY ticket keepsake craft to commemorate every event with ease.

Want to know the best part of this project? The power of personalization.

With each ticket crafted from your hands, you hold the reins of creativity. You can add photographs that capture precious moments or write a heartfelt memory to ensure you won’t forget it.

Ready? Let’s dive in to creativity 👇🏻

What You’ll Need:

  • Design Software – I use Canva for my ticket keepsakes, but there’s other options too! You can use Microsoft Word, Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, or even draw a design on a piece of paper.
  • Paper trimmer or scissors – I prefer a paper trimmer because it will give me a straight cut, but scissors are perfectly fine too.
  • Photo Paper or Cardstock – You’ll want to do this project on paper that’s thicker than regular printer paper.

How To Create Your Ticket Keepsake:

STEP 1 – Design the ticket! I like to use Canva’s ticket templates and customize the details for my specific event. You can also look for images of vintage tickets on Google or Pinterest as inspiration.

STEP 2 – Print the ticket on your paper! I used photo paper but cardstock is an acceptable alternative. You’ll just want to use something a bit thicker than normal paper, this will make your ticket less flimsy!

STEP 3 – Use the paper trimmer to cut out the ticket. I get as close to the edge as I can.

AND THAT’S IT!  Now you’ve made a ticket keepsake!  Since I’m already making the ticket keepsake for myself, I’ll go ahead and make extras for my friends and/or family that attended the event with me! I love knowing that they also have a keepsake of the event too✨

PRO TIP: When making concert ticket keepsakes, I LOVE to add an extra touch. I’ll make my ticket double-sided, adding my seat details to the front and adding the setlist to the back. If you don’t have a double sided printer (like me) you can create 2 tickets that are the same size and glue the backs together with a glue stick.

Thanks for making it to the end of this post! I hope you feel inspired to commemorate your next event into a DIY ticket keepsake!  Did you try this project out? If so, share it over on Instagram and tag me at @thecreativeclubhouse.co so I can see your creativity!
